Dear Hellobahrain.com
I have been working in a company for the last one year.
Now company has cancelled my visia and I am staying here on grace period.
Is that correct that my company has to pay 15% of my gross salary if i am continuing here without cancelling my visa from the current sponsor?
Can any one help me to clarify this matter

STAYING IN BAHRAIN ON GRACE PERIOD
YOU MAY SEEK CLARIFICATION FROM A CLEARING AGENT. AVOID OPINIONS FROM OTHERS TO AVOID PROBLEMS.

If you are already on grace
If you are already on grace period you may approach LMRA for mobility extension. This may give you one month extra. Not very hopeful though.
The company has to pay GOSI for all employees registered with the CR. However it is 19% for Bahrainis and 4% for expats. This is calculated on consolidated salary. If the company has not given you one month notice in writing (about canceling you visa and job termination) then you may approach ministry of labour and complain so that they can revoke your visa cancelation. Clearing Agents are only helpful if you are dealing with already.
Hope this was helpful.
Thank you

Your employer can reinstate
Your employer can reinstate your cancelled Residence Permit for the remaining term of the original Residence Permit easily and continue to pay GOSI which is 4% - No need to pay 15% of the gross salary - This opinion was obtained from a clearing agent.
